Our 3rd and 4th Class are currently taking part in the Young Engineers Award. This award encourages the children to plan, design and make a prototype of something that will help the local community. Our 3rd and 4th Class decided to focus on the renovation of the local clubhouse. We had loads of design ideas and discussions on vital facilities to increase inclusion and benefit all members of our community.
Thank you to Eamon Morrissey, an engineer working locally, for visiting our school to speak to us all about Engineering. The children in the Senior Room were very interesting in Engineering and had lots of questions for Eamon to answer. Our 3rd and 4th Class presented their project and prototype for their classmates and Eamon also.
