Visit Sligo

During the month of April, the senior room were exploring and learning about life on Arranmore Island, off the coast of Donegal. 🏝️

During our study on the area, the children heard from people about life on the island, explored geographical features (sea caves, sea stacks, sea arch etc), as well as discussing the importance of tourism and exposure📸

This got us thinking about the various tourist attractions and features in our own county🤔

The children created their own ‘Visit Sligo’ brochures filled with places to eat and stay as well as the many different activities and attractions for tourists to visit. These included forest walks 🌳, mountain climbing ⛰️, surfing🏄‍♀️, Eagles Flying 🦅 and many more.

What a great way to showcase, and come to appreciate, our home county ⚫⚪
